Teleena continuously works to improve the services we offer to our customers and partners. Protecting the data of customers and partners at all times is a big part of this mission. To that end, Teleena is pleased to announce that it’s ready for the EU’s new GDPR regulations to be implemented. All processed personal data by the company is compliant with the new rules.

How is Teleena prepared for GDPR?

Teleena continuously maintains high standards for security and compliance across all environments and regions in which we operate. This has always been our highest priority. For that reason, we have been awarded the ISO 27001 Certification for Information Security Management. By achieving this certification, Teleena has shown to have the necessary information security controls in place to constantly protect customer and partner data. In order to achieve the ISO certification, Teleena had to go through intensive, independent assessments. Today, we still regularly invite internal and external auditors to verify the adequacy of our security measures.

In the same line, Teleena is ready for the EU’s new GDPR regulations to be implemented. We are proud to be offering GDPR compliance to all our customers and partners.

What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a set of regulations established by the EU that will be enforced after May 25th, 2018. The GDPR aims to strengthen the security and protection of personal data and will replace the guidelines and local laws. In The Netherlands, it will, for example, replace the “Wet bescherming persoonsgevens”.

GDPR applies to all types of organizations, from public authorities to small and medium-sized business to multinationals, that offer goods or services within the European Union, regardless if they are located in Europe. Additionally, it applies to data of all individuals in the EU, despite if they are an EU citizen; to a wide range of information from which a person can be identified, either directly or indirectly; as well as to more sensitive personal data, including political opinions, religious beliefs, genetic data, health data, trade union membership, etc.
